I am very excited to be joining the Wdc site and am looking forward to reading and reviewing works on this site. I have already had one of my poems reviewed and want to say thanks to Reneef, Bucolica, and Turtlemoon for the encouraging words and helpful advice y'all gave me (Southern moment). I plan to do my first review this week. Prior to this, I have only critiqued my Mom and sister's (both poets) writing, so this should be a fun new thing. I love to read - poetry, adult and teen fiction (nearly all genres), scientific articles (for laymen), biographies - practically anything that's interesting to the author and well written. I am just finishing Focault's Pendulum (Umberto Eco) and Sophie's World (Josten Gaarder). I am beginning a biography of Kofi Anon (Interventions, A life in War and Peace) and novel by Amor Towles called Rules of Civility. This is a period of heavier reading for me, last year this time, it was Queen of Babble (Meg Cabot) and Hugo Cabret (Brian Selznick). I am really looking forward to interacting with you all and getting to know your writing styles. I welcome any critiques that will better the quality of my writing and will definitely return the favor. Cheers
