Crediting is less about review recipients crediting their own reviews and more about 3rd parties crediting reviews.
You can search this forum for my responses about review crediting, but the gist is that we don't allow crediting directly from the email because we don't want crediting to end up just being based on the recipients. If that happens, it seems very likely that 5 star reviews will receive the most credits and somewhere around 4 star and below, regardless of review quality, are likely to receive none.
So, all things considered, I'd still prefer that people who want to credit their own reviews have that extra work AND have to encounter the review page as a whole on the hope they'll perhaps stop to consider the other reviews.
