Noticing Newbies

Hello, my name is David. As you can plainly see, I'm fresh to this website and am looking forward to working with this massive community. What can I say about myself? I've been writing for about a decade, mostly short fiction and journalism. Recently, I've found that I've lost much of the time I once dedicated to this passion, so I've taken some time away from work to re-dedicate myself to it. I'm looking to publish some longer pieces, mostly things a step or two out of my comfort zone. I've also started hosting some local writing events in the area, mostly workshops to try and find more people who share my interests. I'm a reader of many classics; Salinger, Heinlein, Conan Doyle, etc. And, most importantly, I'm always looking for something else to read. Glad to be a part of this.
