Noticing Newbies

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post. The site looks very interesting, there is so much to learn. I must admit to being a bit overwhelmed. I am very happy to be here.

I have always loved writing, but have only recently started writing in earnest. My ability to learn new things is rather rusty, but I am trying to shine it up a bit.

I have had my account here for quite a while, but until today, haven't tried the waters. I would like to explore writing and find out if I have any real talent or if I fall into the category of writing for oneself only.

I welcome all guidance and tips you have to offer me as I start out here at writing.com
