October Novel Prep Challenge

We appreciate volunteers to keep this running for everyone. If you're not comfortable with volunteering, we understand. If you have specific questions about volunteering that someone can answer, we will. This is the sixth year of this challenge, and many of the participants are familiar with what is ahead.

Unblocking, for example, is something we added last year for completing all the bonus challenges. This 'unblock' is something that a writer can employ if she gets stuck in her novel and needs a different viewpoint in order to continue with the rigorous word count November requires. Last year a few people used this, and the unblockers volunteered to help others get over their sticking points.

No one understands how I get time for all of this, but I manage because it helps me get through November while writing. I will admit that almost every single word I wrote last year (75k) was written during writing sprints with people from this group, and I loved it. I know other volunteers feel the same; they come back year after year to enhance the experience for themselves and others. Most of the tasks to volunteer for happen during October and the prep month, rather than November and writing. (I wasn't sure if "this month" was to mean September, October, or November in context.)
