Hello hello! You're not alone, we just don't lurk here as much as we probably ought to. I don't think I've ever heard SLC referred to as "Mormon Mecca" but I understand the reference and it made me smile. It's a holy/special site for us as Mecca is to Islam.

What a wonderful opportunity to help your friend. I only skimmed the stories just now, as I'm at college, but will look again later. What I did see I enjoyed very much. It's great to read stories related to family history.
