October Novel Prep Challenge

Hi All!
I can't wait to get going this year! I spend my summers tournament fishing for bass with my other half - he got me hooked on that a few years back - and I guess that's why he puts up with my NaNo and NaNo Prep habit! This will be my 6th year doing NaNo, and my Fourth... I think... year as an ML for my region. I wouldn't trade it for the world, and neither should anyone else, as far as I'm concerned. It's such a great challenge and you can "meet" so many great people who are also as obsessed as you are. If you're a writer, I think you need to do NaNo. You just need to! That's just me talking, but I know so many others agree.

I think the big thing is that you can't be afraid to do something for yourself. Once you do it, and show the others in your house how they can help you - mostly you'll be surprised how much they actually will help (and it might only be a little bit, but it will be more than you would have expected at the outset). I think it's also important to involve everyone in the house in the celebrations... i.e., "If Mom gets to 10,000 words by Saturday, we're all going to Pizza Pit for dinner!!"... things like that go a long way toward reaching your goals with your family still in tow!
