I'm with you there! I keep my basics in google docs so I can access them between my main computer and netbook, but I also print them out in a binder for handwritten notes where theres no wi-fi, and like you said, it always does make you take more time to think about things to include. I've been working through my handwritten outline notes most of the day!! Lol!!
