RE: 53 worder example. The end of this story is a kinda classic line, me likes. Ugh, really. Fiction in bright colors. AND sure, dialogue stories always float my boat. Story (convo) vs story on paper .. two topics. The latter apt in some cases to enter a written tale category. Easy as pie for creative writers whom receive such ideas. Well put at "I thought of such a story" from Dave above. This happens to myself. SO WHO else wishes to enter "Invalid Item"  & jump in -- right there? Like -- Plot origins fleeting as fine lace.In sum: Agree. All stories need their own space, can be edited as edited. Oh tis awful from my standpoints which do tend to waiver. Tis nasty because ... during the last two years TEFF is tending to tell stories and not write them. Shameful. My gig becomes plotting post story idea or opening scene, then running the gist past the fam. Which requires a spate, generally over dinner for nights on end. . Goshers, yeah, those unwritten, untried babies change too because the end is still incomplete. The conclusion MUST fit ... the entire kitten-kaboodle. lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll SIDEBAR llllllllllllllllllllllllllll 1.Suppose we settle into digital, e-story length ... and new-wave, acceptable definitions .. 2. Name all those eg. flash fic, short short, traditional short story, novella,serial, etc. 3. Will we simply change too? As in surrender?
