Hi Pamela. Welcome to WDC.com. I'm pleased to meet you. My condolences on your loss. Writing is a powerful thing in life and there are so many genres to choose from. No one likes criticism, but from it we learn and grow when it is constructively given. I'm a formalist poet and for many years I never shared my poetry. It was from constructive criticism I received from friends who were writers that started me on the journey to sharing my poetry with others. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. WDC is a wonderful haven for writers in all genres. I've made many friends since I joined four years ago. The members and staff are friendly and helpful. There are several groups that orient Newbies in navigating the site. Some also have courses and/or workshops in different styles of writing if you are interested. Enjoy yourself and above all have fun.
