Weekly Goals

It appears I've joined the site at just the right time! My goals should be easier than those of you veterans'. :p

First of all, I'd like to post my first short story this week. I've already got one in mind, and it's sure to make you cringe. Yay for brutality! For a more specific goal, I'd like my first story to get at least five mostly positive critiques, and perhaps generate some buzz. I love buzz.

Second, since we're speaking of critiques (or typing about them, rather), I hope to write at least ten critiques this week, and at least half of them have to generate a response from the author. I'm not really sure how that works here, yet, but on sites I've been on in the past, responses are rare, so they have to be really constructive to warrant the right amount of notice.

Third, on a more personal (and challenging) level, I'd LOVE to impress my parents when they come to visit me on Friday. They live in Indiana, while I live in Oklahoma, so visits are short and spaced out. Last time they were here, I was in the process of losing my house, so I'd like to show them I'm doing better this time.
