Yet, sure we may see historical settings or add modern day themes. Imaginations vary. Creations (past or present) become writers' gifts to their reading public. Authorship inspiration often abides in seasonal paradoy. Comedy glides into foray from winter-tale skies. . Thus, over the years, it came to pass ---- From a reading/writing website, along comes both a DEC writing contest with an archive to boot. Open online, EVERYONE, falling into an International Network Audience, again this year. Christmas theme plotlines may include twists to the tale. Libraries coast to coast hall out hardcovers, set these about for patrons to savor. Every Dec Christmas mood swings our imaginations across the land, snowy & star bright.  This is basically a short story contest, always accepting poetry, each & every season. So, Miss TEFFs at it again, singing to the choir, preachy on theme which delves into Holiday Traditional fanfare, haps, music, classic tales, ETC. From the season to be jolly, topics galore tickle minds in a you-name-it fashion ala this celebration's kittenkaboodle. Then .... whwhwhoooshh ... writers might pause to create yet another gem because they can. Stories pull us, you know. RE SETTING: When geographically Christamassy, wintry setting truly jingle these stories, submitting writers are apt to make an impression on readers. Poetry & Christmas go hand-in-hand.
