Noticing Newbies

Those content ratings aren't all that bad. If you write pretty tame stuff, you probably wouldn't go higher than 13+ or something (light cursing, slight mention of violence... that type of thing). For lots of my stuff, I just go 18+ because I figure that's safe... and I write tons of inappropriate things I guess. Or at least, things that have adult references. hehe

E is for everyone, so if you wouldn't be worried about your 2nd grader reading it, E is probably just right. Just a quick glance through the ratings is usually enough after you've written something. If I find myself thinking, "she slapped him in the story, is that higher than E?" I just peek at it real quick.

Any new adventure can be overwhelming I guess. Don't let it intimidate you though! You'll get the hang of it soon enough I'm sure!
