Still no editing yesterday, but I discovered an interesting fact about my new IBS medication: it has apparently been known to cause HEAD COLD SYMPTOMS. On a probably related side note, my head cold symptoms started THE VERY DAY I began this new medication. Since my doc, who prescribed the meds the day before, had a severe head cold of his own, and since it's been going around at my boyfriend's workplace, and since his mother (who lives with us) has been suffering a head cold for a couple weeks, I assumed I had picked up a bug somewhere.
But it's not going around MY workplace. And the warnings clearly say:

mild diarrhea;
mild stomach discomfort;
heartburn, vomiting, gas, bloating;
headache; or
cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sinus pain.
