A villain is someone who doesn't care what the rules say or what laws he must break. He'll break them just to satisfy himself and some of the time, he or she doesn't even know they are doing bad things. In the case of an Anti-Villain, it is someone who will breaks laws for bad intentions, but still serve the good of something. Like Vandal Savage wanting to destroy most of the human race to further evolve them in order to rule the universe as the most power species of all.
