Fan'd Item Notifications
I think that when someone Fan's a person's item, the owner should be given a notification, something like- User:ABC has Fan'd Item:123

The reason I'm suggesting this is fairly simple- it immediately lets you know that someone likes your item, meaning that you can see who it is, and perhaps check out their items, or even their favorites, which might be some of yours as well.

For instance, let's take a quick look at my interactive- "Planet Animalus" Open in new Window. - It has 3 Fans, besides myself. I've checked out the others, and I've noticed that they like some of the same things I like. I have also checked out my other interactives- again, similar tastes. In short, it would allow people to check out each other, and perhaps fan each other.
