Weekly Goals

I didn't get the temp job. But, I didn't get a good vibe from it. Reminded me of a college career lab. Great resume advice, but not helpful on the job front... however she did say: "if you do find something, call us and we can place you." Uh, but doesn't give you the credit? No thanks...

I applied to four jobs this week. One newspaper company that had a job posted but e-mailed me back to say it was closed. Monday I have an interview with Montgomery County (PA) at 2pm!

Non-Job Related Goals:
Work on dialog story for the Scopes contest.
Finished the dialog story. It was an interesting exercise. Hey The StoryMistress , if I post the story on here... is it still considered unpublished? I'd like to show people the story after I submit it.
Work on two short stories for contests.
I worked on one. I am going to work on one tonight, then one for Joy 's contest tonight.
Review 5 poems.
I reviewed two. I just returned home from caring for my aunt's dog. I'll review some more tonight. What I reviewed:

Review of " 2 Haiku and Other Splashes of Color"
Next week I'm going to Memphis with mom, so I need to do some more research with how much transit costs, entry fees to different places, maps, etc.
I found some neat places on the Hop On, Hop Off. However, mom and I are going to wing it. We definitely want to do Graceland, Pink Palace and Beale Street. We're going to see how much we can get done on the Hop On, Hop Off on Friday, then the rest on Saturday. Mom isn't renting a car. I can't wait for this.
Have some fun this week: you're off from the library on Thursday... go shopping, go for a long walk, maybe a day trip that is inexpensive (maybe a day trip into Philadelphia on Thursday and go to a museum, then lunch).
I hurt my leg on Wednesday, so I took it easy on Thursday. I did walk to the post office though! I'm feeling better so we'll see what tomorrow brings. I'm actually thinking of looking at a country western outfit for Memphis (find it online and order).
