Goals week of 9/22/14
Okay, here's what I'd like to accomplish this week:

About 1/3 of the way through Giggles , the story of a clown who wasn't particularly happy in his own skin. It will be the first story in a collection, and Giggles will then stick around to guide the reader through the rest of the collection, capice? The second story, which I began two days ago (as I have a difficult time staying focused on a single story at any one time; don't ask me why) is called Prophetic Panels, and is about a down and out illustrator whose life changes after an episode of binge drinking. Should I still need a diversion from those, I'm ready to start Billy, a cute little feel-good story about a kid who leaves a trail of joy when the kids who tease him wherever he goes ultimately commit suicide.

Finally, my not-so-nice editor (just kidding, she's the best thing that's ever happened to me as a writer) has talked me into rewriting some of my earlier stories on this site, so if I get to it, I'll try to think of ways to improve upon Reign Dance. Almost every story I've written on this site has been a contest entry, and as such, was written with some kind of word limit or other constraint. The feeling is I can improve on them with those restrictions lifted. We shall see...

I may have a couple of job interviews this week which could impact my (writing) progress, but if it gets me out of the living hell I'm employed at right now, it will be well worth it. Have a phone interview later this morning...
