Not annoying at all. If I had my way I would always start at the end and work backwards. If you know where your characters end up that is half the battle. Now is time to figure out.. Did your protagonist get what they wanted? What was their want? What obstacles were put in their way that they had to overcome/accomplish to arrive at your ending? Who helped them along the way, who made their life more difficult. There are so many different possibilities for where your characters end up. What internal and external changes need to take place for them to end up where they did.
