October Novel Prep Challenge

There is a lot to be said for Christian Fantasy when it isn't preachy. Especially stuff that involves life in the present, instead of obsessing over the end of the world or supposed conspiracies. My favorites in this genre are all by Madeleine L'Engle, with the exception of 'That Hideous Strength' by Lewis, which takes first place on that list for me. I've encountered wonderful work from others though, and I suspect a lot of good stuff remains to be written.

My own forays into the subject of always been semi-mythological, and I wouldn't characterize them as Christian Fantasy, but they often challenge me to think about what spiritual message I might be sending in my writing. It's a good way to exercise both your writing skills and your spiritual growth in one go.
