As far as names go, I love this site because it generates a ton of names at once so I can scan through and see if any stand out. Plus there are various options to fit your naming style: http://rinkworks.com/namegen/

I use it to name people, places, etc. Sometimes I'll change a letter or two, but it's seriously my go-to whenever I need to brainstorm a name for ANYTHING.
