They killed the werewolves' Alpha.
Why do they need an employee?
A previous employee is in a mental asylum.
What's the business?
Police.
What's the purpose of the long drive?
One of my MCs was stressed out and finds the drive relaxing.
Can the werewolves drive or otherwise travel long distances?
They could run long distances.
Are there more of them in the destination, or just werewolves wherever they started before the drive?
Just werewolves where they started, or at least, they're the only wolves that want to kill them.
Can they come back from the long drive?
Yes, but it seems to be a little uneccesary to have the drive at all then.
What was supposed to happen next in your outline before your characters derailed you?
A meeting with two other characters at someone's house back at the place they left.
