LAST YRs WINDY INTRO -- (2013)

Looking back, must admit to excessive shop talk when boosting incentive for writers to compose a Christmas genre story. --- inside 2013s mission statement.

And my Amazon stat is missing once more. So, need to straighten that mystery out as the Big A is a constant big sister where even a simple hit ends up into a title traipse thru encyclical adds for works & consumer goods.

Eh well .. Behind by a few days, RE-OPEN NOV 5 ... DEADLINE FEB 15, 2015.

Don't be shy. Lift thy shepherd crook. Zing into the essence of Christmas. You are not required to trounce The Greatest Story Ever Told.

CHRISTMAS GENRE stories tend to stay with us because they are often designed to touch the heart & spirit of this holy day. Yet, sure we may see historical settings or add modern day themes. Imaginations vary. Creations (past or present) become writers' gifts to their reading public. Authorship inspiration often abides in seasonal parodoy. Comedy glides into foray from winter-tale skies.

Thus, over the years, it came to pass ---- Ala this reading/writing website, along comes both a DEC writing contest with an archive to boot. *Star* *Star*

This is basically a short story contest, always accepting poetry, each & every season.

So, Miss TEFFs at it again, singing to the choir, preachy on theme which delves into Holiday Traditional fanfare, haps, music, classic tales, ETC. From the season to be jolly, topics galore tickle minds in a
you-name-it fashion ala this celebration's kittenkaboodle. Then .... wh wh whoooshh ... writers might pause to create yet another gem because they can. Stories pull us, you know.

RE SETTING: When geographically Christamassy, wintry setting truly jingle these stories, submitting writers are apt to make an impression on readers.

Contestants --- You are in safe hands ... assured fairness ala competition. *Snow3* *Snow2* Watch & Wait as writers whip Happy Christmas subjects to perfection. Anticapate sorrow or joy inside these renditions. Well crafted Christmas stories remain encouraging as slices of life scenes for fam, frustration, rich, poor, survival and even become traditional for many who suit up, then ski on over to join this contest.

Never to early to begin a Christmas genre pen. Imagine if you will a world far away. Don't forget --- traditional length short stories most welcome all year long. Two of our poetry wins list above. These both follow traditional Christmas poetry. Now's the time to swing into a Santa type on a beach ... as winter wanes and Spring begins. To EVERYONE whom writes. Keep em coming. I'll read em.

CORDIALLY, as update from Miss TEFF. Mar 12, 2014
