I quit my day job Oct. 31, planning to start a proper life schedule including writing and research, including this website. I promptly came down with bronchitis for November.
So this is Tuesday, Dec. 2.
My goals for this week:
I will go to the library (or coffee house) each day to do the writing:
1. I will write for one hour daily. I will write a piece for Orion magazine's department The Place Where You Live.
2.I will also research the history of my house and neighborhood (as I can contact informants.)
3.I will also get out my microscope and look for tardigrades, or water bears. These microscopic critters live almost everywhere and can survive a complete vaccuum. Hopefully they are living in the mosses and lichens in my back yard. I'll write about the search for them, and if found, what they look like, maybe sketch them, and see where that leads. (This will be done at home.)
I need accountability from writers, who will understand the struggle to do the work, and who are interested. I need encouragement.
