Noticing Newbies

I'm an old hand here, been around, oh, almost a week now. Thought I'd pay my dues, spend my days reviewing random stories, get some interaction going, see what the folks here are like, that kind of thing, before posting anything up of my own. But, six reviews in and no response from anyone. I've checked my deodorant, had three showers and changed my after shave. Nothing. In every other writing site I've ever been involved in, I've never had a review ignored. Is this normal here?
