Weekly Goals

I know I am a bit early, but I wanted to post my weekly goals to begin my writing experience. I joined Friday night, and also got some books to begin my learning on how to write stories. I spent most of the weekend learning the components that make up a story, and now will begin to test myself on these parts, so I know what makes up a story other than a Beginning, Middle, and an End.


The first part of the short story I am going to begin working on is the title, and for that I have entitled this short story "The Forsaken". I am writing this under the genre of Christian Fiction. I made the plot about a musician who is on the eve of becoming the success she had always dreamed of being. She is up for a Grammy for "Artist of the year" when she receives a mysterious and a disturbing letter from someone in her past. She spends the next few days trying to figure out who sent her the hate mail, and why? As she goes on her journey she finds people she had betrayed, stepped on, and abandoned on her way to success including the one she called her Lord and Savior when she was a little girl.


Monday: Will begin to write the outline including title, plot, and characters. Start on the rough draft.
Tuesday: Continue Rough Draft and contact library to find out information on Adult Writing workshop on June 9th. Will not be able to attend due to prior engagement.
Wednesday: Night Off
Thursday. Finish Rough Draft, and post for everyone to see.
Friday: Work Late
Saturday: Answer any replies.
