This is just the place to help you get back to writing, although the site is addictive in a very good way.
On the right top of this page, check Writing.Com 101 and Get Started to familiarize with the ins and outs of the site. Then upload a few pieces of your work and check what other writers are doing. There are many areas, contests, groups, and activities going on all the time. I'm sure you'll find at least some of them very likable.
