I'm glad to see another passionate reader and writer join our group. I would suggest starting with "Invalid Item" and "Writing.Com 101" . It's all around useful for new members.
As for writing, I used to suffer the same problem (not thinking anything I wrote was good enough). Years ago, I finally had a break through. I stopped caring whether it was good or not. I just wrote. I allowed my work to suck ... a lot. Then, I put it away for a little, came back, and gave it an edit. THEN (the most important) I got feedback from other writers. I took what I learned from them and improved my skills. Even after years, and six books, I'm still learning and growing. It's such a rewarding experience.
Keep trying and don't give up!
