If you mean my poem, it would work great. The problem might be the word "song." The songs I deal with are choral works. Any text can be set. A composer I work with set a speech by Kofi Annan to music. Here are the words: http://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/2001/annan-lecture.html And here is the setting to music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JINUN07JZcc The reason my poem has not been set to music is because it hasn't been needed yet. Choral pieces are often written for a specific purpose or event.
