Noticing Newbies

Hello! I'm very new here, and I'm actually not sure if this is how you make a forum post, but hey, I'm gonna do it anyway. I'm Anerio Deorma, I write mostly science-fiction but I dabble in fantasy and horror. I've been trying to get my feet wet and bump elbows with some people who are more experienced in the realm of professional writing than I, as I have been simply a hobbyist up until recently. I've reached out to the newbie support group and am currently awaiting acceptance there, but I would appreciate any help people can give with regards to getting my bearings or how to start out here!
