I agree with Ẃeβ࿚ẂỉԎḈĥ Author Icon. Just write what you love, read, review, and make yourself at home here.
One thing I thought of when you mentioned journaling - maybe take all those journal entries and form a short story (or 2) out of them. I am sure just by journaling that you're creating a ton of material that could be worked into a story.
