Noticing Newbies

Congratulations, garywalters for adding your book chapters to your port. That's a big step, taking a lot of courage. I'm sure you'll get feedback soon. This is a wonderful place! Since you're writing fantasy, you might be interested in "Fantasy and Science Fiction Society"  by here are great people there who are very knowledgeable about the genre on that forum!

I joined almost a year ago. Through reviewing others' work, receiving feedback on my chapters, and engaging in conversations with other writers, my writing has improved tremendously! I still have a lot to learn, but I think my first several chapters have changed so much for the better. I'm now rewriting more chapters using the new things I've learned - I'm soooo close to getting chapter 8 uploaded! - won the goal to revise all the current chapters I have (33) before finishing up the book and beginning another full revision. I'm enjoying the learning process!

You may find WDC to be overwhelming and confusing at first, so don't be afraid to ask questions. A couple really great newbie forums are "The Newbies Academy Group"  and "Newbies Academy Registration - OPEN"  where you can learn about this place and chat with other newbies (and not-so-newbies). There's also a members-only review request list and some fun activities to help you get your feet wet here and become engaged in the community.
