Sounds like you lead a wonderfully free life! I bet your writing is full of grand experiences

WDC is a great community of writers - newbies, not-so-newbies, published authors, fiction, non-fiction, poetry...everything! Everyone is friendly and helpful, so I'd encourage you to (when you've got wifi) to jump right in on reading others' work and even submitting a review or two. I found I've learned more about writing by reading other's stuff than I have doing anything else here. And, giving reviews helps you get reviews.

This place can get confusing, and if you're not able to be here frequently, you may find it hard to figure things out, so don't hesitate to ask questions of anyone! I learn something new almost daily here. A couple really great newbie forums are "The Newbies Academy Group"  and "Newbies Academy Registration - OPEN"  where you can post specific questions and get answers, plus it's sometimes nice to network with other floundering newbies
