October Novel Prep Challenge

My kids and hubby think I am nuts but my favorite places don't have wi-fi connections and can get quite cold. I love to write at a picnic table at Toad Suck State Park on the Arkansas river and up in our orchard. Wi-fi places are good too but I write much better outside. Its how I did all my writing as a kid. I went outside with my notebook and Walkman, yeah I know I'm old, and would find a spot under a tree, turn on my music and just write. I still write best to the same music I listened to back then. I have to stop myself from mentioning Poison, Warrant, and a few others when I am writing. I now force myself to listen to newer artists and save one of the older characters for arguments over taste in music. LOL
