Noticing Newbies

Just wanted to say hello and Merry Christmas to everyone. My name is Gerri. My handle is GerMac. I live in San Clemente, CA. The weather is a cool 50 degrees~~very unusual in this temperate climate.

I am a distinguished poet laureate with the International Society of Poets. I have written over 60 poems and self-published a book of poetry with Lulu Publishers. I would like to hone my writing skills~~transition into short stories eventually. I am interested in joining the WDC Power Writers Group. I like their commitment to kindness and learning. I have been reviewed over 1,500 times. I reviewed others about 800 times. I fully enjoy reviewing other writers.

I specialize in language mechanics, usage and linguistics. I have a BA in English, an MS in Educational Administration, two life credentials, plus other qualifications. I served in public education for 23 years. I have a business background, as well in the area of real estate. I am officially retired, active and involved.

I have a fabulous son and daughter. They are my favorite people of all. My son is an airlines pilot; my daughter is a college professor. I'm only slightly prejudiced in their favor.
