Noticing Newbies

Hi everyone!

I thought of introducing myself and getting myself immersed in this Newfoundland with all of you like minded spirits!
I'm from the Netherlands, but just as you might have heard the term "complicated" when asking about relationships, this same term applies to me when it comes to my relationship with the Netherlands. Though I'm born and raised for most of my life in that country, I was never quite able to like its language. Whereas English comes more naturally to me and I can't shake the feeling of being born and raised in the wrong country. So I make up for that, by reading English literature or into English translated works from other languages.

I hope to improve my writing (I've posted my first short chapter) by learning from your feedback and by reading your own pieces!
