Noticing Newbies

Hello, WDC patrons,

My name is Ryan. I just joined the sight yesterday and have virtually no clue what I'm doing, so any useful tips anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I have been writing for myself pretty much all my life, and other than a handful of poems I have never finished a thing. A thousand great ideas and nothing to show for it. A friend of mine turned me to this sight suggesting that it might give me the motivation I need to finish some of my works and the direction to help me develop as a writer. I have already found lots of unique works to read on here and I hope to meet lots of people who share my passion and ambition. Please feel free to read anything I have posted and give me feedback in any form. I take criticism well so be honest.
