First, welcome to Writing.Com, Stewart. To answer your question, yes, there are a lot of pretty good writers here with offerings that are a joy to read. Of course, they worked to better their craft, and folks like you and I helped, sometimes with stern, but constructive reviews. But remember, most folks are here to polish their writing. Early works will need editing. Most will use reviews to their advantage. Many will study and learn on their own Very few of us start out great and get better. If I believe the reviews I've gotten over the years here, I've improved. And I started with some pretty raw stuff. Can I point out some good writers for you? Maybe, but maybe not ... for I don't know your genre likes and dislikes. I know who I like. I like Shannon , Mara ♣ McBain , 🌕 HuntersMoon , and JoDe to name a few. Please keep reading. I'm certain you'll find what you're looking for here. And maybe you'll help raise the standards of grammar and punctuation with quality reviews of the offerings you read. Frankly, that's how I learned--giving reviews forced me to learn so I wasn't telling someone the wrong thing. Best of luck with all your writing and reading endeavors here.
