Re: Re: Re: Suggestions on posting and reviewing
I have found when I was working with Pencil that to really do a book right. whether it be long or short. You first present a chapter. you gather all the reviews then you make the changes you want and then you resend it for reviews. Until almost everyone is happy with the way it reads. Then you move on to the next chapter. Now as a word to the wise if you are keeping a whole book on the site. Make sure it is locked and set to private your eyes only with a passkey. I really love the people on this site, but it is a dog eat dog world we live in and other people that are not members are not trustworthy. Especially with taking book ideas. I only store my original rough drafts here and keep my finished work offline. Believe me, my very first tries at writing books were so bad most people would stop in the first chapter and never touch my work again lol.

I do like the idea of one chapter at a time. I don't mind helping people that use passkeys as that was how it was done in pencil a lot. I also don't mind re-reviewing a rewritten chapter. One of the joys of this site is seeing your suggestions take a writing to a whole nother level. I have seen where the suggestions although not used sparked the muse to rework it into something amazing. We all have that ability and I know everyone in this group does.

If you intend to combine a lot of chapters into one static sheet that is a great usage of your account. However, getting someone to review it might be a whole other problem. As an example, I received a review request to do a Novella written as one static sheet. First off I didn't know you could do that, but he did it and it was a mess for reviewers. The reason was, it was a first draft. I had a 6000 char review filled with errors and I hadn't even got halfway through the first chapter. I just couldn't see writing a review longer than the book personally. I know I need the writing practice, but really it wasn't worth continuing on until they could repair and straighten out the first stuff I had found.

Now if you're going to stack five chapters into a sheet that's cool, especially if it is five reviewed chapters. I understand about we can only do what our finances allow us. So I have a premium account and If you would like to do a book I'll be happy to sponsor it. Here is how this works I create it using the name you give me. I then create a group and give you full access including full editing We set the book to this group access only and allow group editing. Then you take over and I do my thing while you do yours and you can even edit the password so I will not know it. Now my account was just renewed for a year so you have that much time to use it without worries lol. But I plan on staying here for a real long time so I'm not worried about it going away anytime soon.
