Is it possible to add a new "fr" link with entry that would show the entry and where it came from plus the Item's (not the Entry's) rating? Sometimes it's good to give a reader a heads-up on the book's rating when just linking to an entry, such as a blog entry that can easily stand alone. This is not a request to add a rating to the entry but to combine the "f-entry" with the "r-link" since the latter already exists. It's cumbersome to have to do two separate links for that to happen now. See below. Link to Book Entry in "From" Format Creates a direct link to an entry within a book and includes the item it came from. Replace "######" with entry's ID number. Replace "######" with entry's ID number. Tag Syntax: {f-entry:#######} Example with raw WritingML: {f-entry:121558} Example result: Journal Entry Editing Change. from Site News & Announcements Link to Item in "Rating" Format Creates a direct link to any Writing.Com item and includes the title and content rating. Replace "######" with item's ID number. Tag Syntax: {r-item:######} Example with raw WritingML: {r-item:303715} Example result: "Technical Support Forum" [13+] Link to Book Entry with Item and it's rating Creates a link to both the entry and the item it came from plus displays the item's rating CURRENT Tag Syntax: {entry:#####} from {r-item:#####} Example with raw WritingML: {entry:121558} from {r-item:206127} Example result: "Journal Entry Editing Change." from "Site News & Announcements" [ASR] Appreciate the consideration. By the way, there's an error in the WGML page on linking (https://www.writing.com/main/tools/action/writingml). The "From" format explanation has the same wording as the "Line" format saying that using "f-entry" "includes the member who posted it" instead of the "item it came from" (or from which it came). |
