A warm welcome to our newbies; come meet new and not-so-new members of Writing.Com! |
Hi, everyone! Just call me "Rabbit". :) I've been with WDC (off and on) since about 2000 (pretty sure? Let's just say it was a long time ago, during my high school days and WDC was rather new). I used to have huge portfolio here in my teenage-and-early-twenties, but during a (long) period of self-doubt, removed everything and deleted my old account. Needless to say...I sort of kick myself in the pants for that decision nowadays. I'm in my early thirties, though my brain still thinks I'm in my early twenties (my body would disagree). I'm a US military veteran (Navy, Army National Guard - in that order) and served first as a broadcast journalist and then as a chaplain's assistant. I've been around the world a few times since my emancipation at 17, to say the least. I've been writing since I was 10, though honestly, it's become more of a struggle as I've gotten older. I'm currently in my last year of a Master's of Theology, which doesn't leave me much time for "writing for fun"...although, believe me, I write plenty daily, if you count the academic stuff. I'm trying to get back into the habit of writing for myself, though, and not for a grade. I still haven't given up the dream of being a published fantasy/romance author. Feel free to browse my port...I've made some great friends through WDC in the past (some of whom I'm still friends in RL to this day, despite my long absence from the site) and I'm looking forward to making more. My rule of thumb is, for every review I get, I give one. (Which might be ambitious of me with the amount of reading I already do for school, but I'll do my best!) Cheers! -Rabbit |
