Noticing Newbies

Greetings World!

Santa42 has just joined Writing.com! I am hoping to share my journey in writing texts to my brother while we count down the days until our journey to Hawaii. I would also love to receive feedback to help me progress in my desire to create.

Throughout my life, my Bipolar Disorder has led me to chase one artistic release or another. After a recovering from a work injury and to be honest a manic episode that cost me a musician friend, I found that both the desire and the ability to express myself through guitar were gone. I had been writing songs when the inspiration hit and they were good!

I haven't written anything in almost 8 years. Supported by, well really directed by my wife of 29 years, I started to write episodic texts to my brother. Each one contains the countdown day number in some way. I started counting down at Day 133 and we are at Day 117 now. I find that I sit down to write every day and words, ideas & characters just flow out of my brain. It is not literature for sure but it is fun! It can be twisted and a slight bit adult (language & concepts) but is always funny.
