Noticing Newbies

Hi,

I'm new to the site and from the UK (though currently living in China). So far I am a little overwhelmed by all of the different options and how to set things up (I tried uploading a picture but perhaps this takes some time to update?).

I've managed to make a submission to the BLINK writing competition (for milk) and also did a review for someone's short story (250 points was added to my account but again not sure what this is worth or what that's about haha).

Still feeling a bit lost so any help would be much appreciated :) I would like to get involved in sci-fi writing competitions and would be happy to help review other peoples' work too (especially in this genre) so a pointer here or there would be grand!
