Noticing Newbies

Ẃeβ࿚Ẃỉtcĥ Cupid who? is right of course but let me be the first to assure you that you are in the right place. Writing is the only thing I have ever been told I was good at. I'm dyslexic but I can tell a good story. I just can't spell worth a dang. So, I come here to put up my musings. I trust these people with the little bits and pieces I write. I haven't gotten up the nerve to submit to a publisher yet.

Why write? Because you can't stand to live with yourself nor can others stand to live with you if you're not? That is probably the main reason I do it. Because the sense of unrest that only leaves me after I have written something doesn't deserve to control my life? My favorite reason, of course, is to better understand yourself and your views of the world. Writing fiction, I often read back over it years later, to find that I had somehow worked into it an idea that I wasn't completely comfortable with my opinion on, only to discover that I actually was, I just didn't know it yet.
