why my story doesn't show up in the Read A Newbie list?

I just posted my story I'm working on to my portfolio. I got a review from somebody, with no write-up, which was a nice gesture, but I'm hoping for more feedback about my actual writing.

Is there a trick to getting listed in the Read a Newbie list? I'm pretty sure I'm still a newbie, only been here a week or two.

Here's a link to the first part of my story, I had to split it into two to post it here.
