Noticing Newbies

Hello everyone,

My name is Derinda Harp and I am new to writing. I have been an avid reader for years and have always been told that I have the imagination for writing. I hope to meet some great friends and maybe a good mentor. I am hoping to write short stories, reviews, things of that nature. I am not really able to go for a novel. I always think to start one but never get past chapter 1. So, I was thinking that maybe keeping things on the shorter side would work better for me. That way I don't lose my train of thought. (Which I tend to do. I have been hit in the head a lot by some not so friendly ex's so my memory sure isn't what it use to be.)
