When your Antagonist isn't a person
This has become a difficult thing for me. My MC is trying to find the truth in a situation. Almost like Indiana Jones looking for the crystal skull. There are many enemies that are trying to hinder him, but in my case its, time. Can she discover the truth before the one connection dies?
There isn't anyone alive that would want the truth hidden anymore. So where is the urgency?
I'm having a bit of trouble here. I thought of inventing an inheritance that is huge if the truth is found. That leads to a whole different revelation of the back story as part of the story.
As she goes about this search she find more about two families that are quite similar. Interesting stories, if I can imagine them.
When she discovers the truth and its known she's part heir to a huge fortune....she must share....What then?
Ah the tribulations of writing.
