Thanks for the feedback. I really just need others to give me the thumbs up, I think, before I move forward confidently.

The traditional YA romance arc seems to require at least 3 people and there needs to be a moment where the two destined end up hating each other.

In the YA romances I've read, when there is a romance early on, it's overridden by the 3rd person swooping in and kissing the protagonist in a way their first love never did or something like that. *Wink*

It's a bit of a whirlwind romance and I expect to have both protagonists wonder if they made the right choice while they're apart during the second half of the book, not because someone else kisses them senseless but because lifetime commitments are a bit daunting, but once they reunite it'll reaffirm their decision to be together.
