October Novel Prep Challenge

I would liike to point out that Patricia Briggs, one of the hottest fantasy romance fiction writers of today has never put a single sex scene into any of the books in her Mercy Thompson series. Though there are a couple of scenes that are somewhat violent when different werewolves are attacked by vampires, humans, other werewolves. Mercy is a shape shifting coyote raised by werewolves. She was raped in her own shop but even that your more caught up in the way the scene is unfolding than any details of the rape. You're rooting for her to save herself. Then your rooting for her love interest the alpha of the local werewolf pack to get to her in time to rip the guys throat out. But, never once does it feel like a sex scene.

I struggle to write sex scenes. I can talk about it all day long. I can write articles on the topic that are just the facts ma'am kind of articles. But, writing fiction is too much like baring my soul. So, I struggle to write those things. I doubt my books will have much more than what Briggs put in the mercy series unless I can get over that.
