October Novel Prep Challenge

As part of my world-building activities, I created a map of my fantasy world. It includes counties, capitals, rivers, educational locations, and bordering countries and seas. This is the first time I have ever created a map for a fantasy novel, so I just wanted to share. Thinking about the locations has given me a lot of other ideas as well, in regards to which places will play a part, how communication will work, and how travel will take place. It also gave me ideas for broader locations names rather than just the immediate surroundings.

I used paint, so it's pretty ugly to look at, not really ready for sharing the visuals, but I just wanted to share that it's a thing I accomplished.
